That is literally a black and white drawing*. The trouble with black and white is you see it looking like this:

and it doesn't occur to you that when it is in colour it looks like

*Okay, and red wine.

thiefree asked:

Hello! I'm listening to the audiobook of Sandman - enjoying it very much, thank you - and just wondered. Was it intentional to have Lucifer sound a bit David Bowie-ish?

Yes.

asker

kore888 asked:

I've been listening to the audible Sandman recently and today it got me though a day of house tidying, and assembling IKEA furniture.

I finished Act 1 today and immediately had to get Act 2 so I could carry on listening.

I've noticed in Act 1 it just went straight into the episode. But in Act 2 you narrate a little summary at the start.

Was there a reason for the change?

Those are the titles of Season of Mists. When you get to Act 3 there will be yet another method of titling.

hi mr. gaiman (or neil?? is mr. gaiman too formal????) i have just watched the west end version of ocean at the end of the lane and it has emotionally wrecked me. it was brilliant and i'm so glad that i got to see it and i would just like to thank you for its existence <3

Thank you so much! It's brilliant, isn't it? I love it so much.

It's this, for the puzzled:

ayemzee asked:

Approximately how many fantastic Crowley hairdos are we going to see in Good Ones 2?

asker

eurphrasie asked:

They mean that Crowley had black hair in the book, so why make him a redhead in the show

He doesn't have black hair in the book. He has "dark" hair in the book, or at least in the English language one. No colour is specified.

On TV, he's the one with the dark hair and Aziraphale is the one with the light hair.

(In the book, Aziraphale's hair colour or shade isn't mentioned.)

icedaquarius31 asked:

This may or may not have to do with the plot of Good Omens 2, and if in that case it can receive a wait and see answer 😁. But I'm wondering how much of Micheal and David's choices/acting in the first season influence how the second was written? Or, did you write anything specific because you knew David and Micheal (or anyone else cast) would be able to pull it off?

Super excited for the new season btw, I was shocked when it was announced. My second reaction though was - "Well if Neil is involved with it as much as he was with the first, and Micheal and David are still Aziraphle and Crowley, then everything will be great."

I definitely had Michael's Aziraphale and David's Crowley in my head as I wrote. Which is not to say that they ever deliver any of the lines in the way that I expected, no more than they did in Season 1. They bring themselves to the parts.

asker

cosplayhanna asked:

Hi Neil I know you've probably answered this before but I was wondering why you guys switch to giving crowley orange red hair is still at the black like it is in the book

I don't know what this means.

asker

feyariel asked:

Will you set David Tennant on fire again?

It's the only thing we hired him for.

asker

prismatic-bell asked:

Hi Neil! So I have a question about the actress who plays Michael in GO. She is fantastic and perfect and I love her, and I'm just kind of curious what was the moment where you went "oh yes. She's the one, that's Michael." Because like. I absolutely agree with this decision but also I feel like there's got to be a fun audition story or something.

There really isn't. On October the 7th 2017 at 4:16pm, our casting director Suzanne Smith sent an email to me and Douglas that read "Doon Mackichan as Michael?" and at 4:18 pm Douglas replied "Perfect for me" and at 4:20 pm I replied "And for me," because despite the fact that he was directing and the emails went out at the same time, they'd always arrive on Douglas's phone a few minutes before they arrived on mine. We were both fans of Doon's – I think I'd first noticed her in Knowing Me Knowing You With Alan Partridge, and in Smack the Pony. We sent her showreel to Amazon, and on Nov 6th I got an email from Suzanne saying "Doon has said yes to the role and now just booking her!" And that was that.
